About us

Emmanuel Faith Bible Christian Center was re-named from the historical Holy Family Catholic Church.  The church was built in 1914 and was the first Catholic church built in the North Chicago area.

In 1991 Emmanuel Faith Bible Christian Center moved to this community.  the most perplexing problem found was a need for a food pantry.  The Emmanuel Faith Food Pantry was established in 1995.  In 2001 the food pantry program began to grow.  Currently we are feeding over 10,000 people in approximately 3,000 households each year. We are currently addressing the needs of people in the community by providing help in the areas of basic human concerns; food.  Our goal is to provide these needs while helping empower individuals to become self-sufficient.
